Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential. The Server will play a key role in maintaining efficient operations and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales
- Ensure food safety standards and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Uphold cleanliness standards in dining areas, including table setup, sanitation, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and POS transactions
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting with excellent time management skills
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds as needed
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling techniques
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
Pay: $16.00 per hour
