Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Millwright to join our manufacturing team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals with a strong background in industrial maintenance and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and low voltage wiring. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal plant operations. Candidates must demonstrate excellent analysis skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, including boilers, HVAC systems, and welding operations
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics and analysis skills
- Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support manufacturing processes
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders, inventory management, and documentation
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Maintain low voltage electrical systems and perform electrical troubleshooting as needed
- Assist with the calibration and testing of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Support industrial electrician tasks, including wiring, conduit installation, and system upgrades
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working around high-voltage systems and industrial machinery
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and operational efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments as a Millwright or similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics reading, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, electrical systems, HVAC, welding, boilers, and low voltage wiring is highly desirable
- Background in industrial electrician work or HVAC is a plus
- Familiarity with boiler operation and maintenance is advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately
- Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation when interacting with team members or external vendors
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective documentation and teamwork
