We are seeking an experienced Automatic Screen Print Press Operator who takes pride in quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship to join our growing production team.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain automatic screen-printing presses (ROQ experience is considered a strong asset)
- Set up and register multi-colour screen-printing jobs accurately and efficiently
- Select appropriate mesh counts, screen tensions, emulsions, and inks based on artwork and garment requirements
- Mix inks and adjust colour consistency to meet production specifications
- Monitor print quality throughout production runs and perform ongoing quality control checks
- Troubleshoot and resolve common printing issues including registration, ink coverage, opacity, and screen-related problems
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining exceptional print quality
- Assist with screen reclaiming, coating, exposing, and screen room operations when required
- Maintain equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with art, production, embroidery, DTF, and fulfillment departments to ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of automatic screen-printing experience
- Strong understanding of press setup, registration, mesh counts, inks, emulsions, and production workflows
- Ability to independently run production jobs with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to producing high-quality work consistently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating ROQ automatic presses
- Experience printing plastisol, water-based, and discharge inks
- Knowledge of simulated process, halftones, and multi-colour production
- Familiarity with LTS (Laser-to-Screen) imaging systems
- Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience
- Experience working in a high-volume contract or commercial print environment
