Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team. We need someone with at least 1 year of experience in design & draft in new residential projects. The ideal candidate have the strong background in single homes, infill, custom homes. The candidate shall have adequate knowledge of land use bylaw and NBC 2023(AE) building code part 9 with wood- frame construction.
Responsibilities:
- Preliminary Zoning Reviews for design projects
- Develop working drawings.
- Plotting drawings into site plan with all grading.
- understanding the Architectural control guidelines and implementing those into drawings.
- Working in various types of projects concurrently.
- Maintaining design work as per the set standards.
- Updating about changes and errors effectively.
- Producing cross sections as per requirements.
You should have:
- Expert understanding of NBC 2023(AE)
- In-depth knowledge of zoning by-laws and applicable laws relating to the building permit application process
- Experience in permit application process in various municipalities and production of permit ready drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in residential projects is a must
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documents
- Minimum 1 year experience with any REVIT or other 3d related software.
- Experience with 3D rendering an asset
