Job Overview

Duties
- Review and verify customs documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies
- Prepare and process release requests for imported goods in accordance with applicable laws and procedures
- Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, audits, and communications related to customs releases
- Assist in reconciling import documentation with accounting records to ensure proper financial reporting
- Monitor the progress of shipments through various stages of clearance and update relevant stakeholders accordingly
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to customs processes and compliance standards
Experience
- Prior experience in customs brokerage, import/export operations, or related logistics roles is preferred
- Strong background in auditing procedures, including internal audits of compliance processes
- Knowledge of accounting principles as they relate to import transactions and financial reconciliation
- Familiarity with customs regulations, tariffs, and international trade compliance standards is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively
