iGaming Ontario is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor, Responsible Gaming to help shape and deliver its Responsible Gaming Strategy and program. This role supports the development and leads the implementation of iGaming Ontario’s multiyear responsible gaming (RG) and player protection strategy and program, including player protection initiatives, promoting safe gambling practices, and strengthening responsible gaming maturity across Ontario’s igaming sector.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Responsible Gaming you will:
- Contribute to strategy development, planning for the implementation and delivery of initiatives.
- Design and develop KPIs and metrics, as well as evaluation frameworks to measure strategy performance and achievement of program outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze RG trends, emerging issues, and policy developments across Ontario, North America, and internationally, providing insights and identifying opportunities for continuous program improvement.
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of RG campaigns, ensuring initiatives are evidence-based, culturally appropriate, align with regulatory requirements, and effectively promote public awareness and harm minimization.
- Prepare briefing notes and other materials to support the Chief Responsible Gaming Officer.
- Provide oversight and interpretation of RG requirements within operating agreements and related policies, ensuring operator compliance, recommending updates, and maintaining alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.
- Support stakeholder engagement and communications by building and maintaining relationships with operators, regulators, and partners; coordinating forums and events; facilitating consultations; and ensuring consistent messaging across RG programs and initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate research initiatives and partnerships, including developing study objectives, overseeing qualitative and quantitative research, evaluating funding proposals, and ensuring outputs are rigorous, relevant, and actionable.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Familiarity with the gaming industry including knowledge of casino gambling and sports wagering as an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in political science, sociology or public policy with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Knowledge of program and research development and evaluation.
- Advanced analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex policy, program, and research information into clear insights, recommendations, and decision-ready outputs.
- Expertise in developing high-quality presentations and briefing materials, including translating complex technical content into clear, strategic narratives for senior executives and diverse audiences under tight timelines.
- Proven stakeholder relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust, navigate sensitive issues, and engage effectively with internal leaders, community partners, and industry representatives.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, preparing project plans, tracking progress and reporting to leadership.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

iGaming Ontario has implemented a minimum four-day per week in-office schedule for this position and will implement a full return to office in 2026. The terms of iGaming Ontario’s Hybrid Work Policy are subject to change at any time, including its office location, the removal of the Hybrid Work Policy and a return to full-time in-office work.
This position falls within the scope of a bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU). In the upcoming months, iGaming Ontario and OPSEU will be negotiating the terms of a collective agreement which, once concluded, will govern the terms and conditions of this position.
