Nadine International Inc. is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm based in Mississauga, Ontario. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Structural Engineer with strong interpersonal and communication skills to support and expand our growing client base.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of structural engineering projects related to existing and new buildings, with responsibilities spanning assessment, investigation, rehabilitation, and project support. This role includes periodic travel throughout Canada.
Please note: This position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, and candidates seeking remote-only work arrangements will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Facility Condition Assessments (FCA) and Structural Condition Assessments of existing buildings and infrastructure, evaluating all structural and architectural components
- Perform structural investigations and evaluations of commercial, institutional, industrial, and government facilities
- Develop repair, rehabilitation, and retrofit recommendations
- Prepare technical reports, structural calculations, specifications, and assessment summaries
- Review structural drawings, specifications, and related project documentation
- Coordinate with internal disciplines, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Support project management activities, including site reviews and construction support
- Travel within Canada (coast to coast) for site visits and project-related activities, as required
- Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian codes, standards, and company procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
- P.Eng. designation preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Experience in Facility Condition Assessments is required
- Experience working within a consulting engineering environment is considered an asset
- Knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada, Ontario Building Code, AODA, and applicable CSA standards
- Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel throughout Canada
- Canadian citizen who has resided in Canada for at least the past 5 years
- Eligible to obtain federal-level security clearance
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset
- PMP designation is considered an asset
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and related drafting/design software is considered an asset
