Auto-Quip is a leading automotive equipment distributor. We are looking for a full time General Labor/ Assembler immediately. We are a busy company with sales, service and installations in Alberta, Saskatchewan and B.C. This position requires a mechanically inclined individual seeking future growth opportunities. On the job training is provided. The position requires travel in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan. You will be responsible for installing and servicing: car lifts/hoists, tire changers, tire balancers, alignment machines.
Requirements:
-Must be mechanically inclined with proficiency in using tools.
-Mechanical aptitude
-Reading and comprehension skills for installation manuals, parts breakdowns and operator manuals.
-Make accurate measurements and layouts in accordance to manufacturer specification and/or blue prints.
-Prior knowledge and experience with automotive lifts, tire balancers, aligners and tire machines an asset.
-Aptitude for mechanical components, putting together mechanical pieces with ability to problem solve and critically think when trouble shooting them.
-Work as an effective team member
-Eager to learn.
- Own set of basic hand tools
-Valid class 5 driver’s license (Non-GDL or willing to obtain full class 5 immediately)
-Airbrake Q endorsement an asset (or willing to acquire)
- A clean abstract is a must and to be provided at time of hire
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and works well in both team and independent environments
-Critical thinking skills
-Construction field experience can be an asset
- Stable work history
- Willing to travel frequently (Expenses covered by company)
