Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security alarm systems and related electronic security equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Alarm Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients by delivering high-quality service and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot alarm systems including CCTV, sensors, IDS, and telecommunication devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure proper system installation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and low voltage electrical equipment to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
- Conduct system testing and calibration to ensure optimal performance of security devices.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades on existing alarm systems.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and provide technical solutions accordingly.
- Document all work performed accurately in service reports and system documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols when working with electrical components and construction sites.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, new technologies, and best practices in electronic security systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage wiring and telecommunication systems.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and computer networking concepts.
- Mechanical knowledge related to installation of security hardware using hand tools and power tools.
- Experience working with computer hardware related to security systems setup and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Construction experience is a plus for understanding building layouts during installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in complex technical environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings including construction sites or client locations.

Pay: $20.54-$41.90 per hour
