Hydraco Industries Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyman Technician with 5+ years of hands‑on mechanical experience. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment—from Class 8 trucks and trailers to oilfield and agricultural machinery. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ability, professionalism, and a “fix it right the first time” mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair drivetrain, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
- Perform inspections and maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Mentor and support apprentices and junior technicians.
- Collaborate professionally with co‑workers, drivers, and operations staff.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman HET or Automotive Technician certificate.
- Proven experience with Class 8 trucks and trailers.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills (email, Word).
- Must supply own hand tools.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Safety‑focused, quality‑driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to mentor others.
- CVIP license is an asset.
- Air conditioning system experience an asset
