Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced AZ Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to work with heavy equipment and forklifts as needed. The AZ Driver will play a key role in ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and freight vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties.
- Assist in the maintenance and minor repairs of vehicles or heavy equipment when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Experience
- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or automotive repair skills is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight handling and vehicle operation.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during deliveries.
