Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Jewellery Polisher to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for polishing, finishing, and restoring jewelry pieces to meet high-quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, steady hand-eye coordination, and experience working with precious metals and jewelry finishing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Polish and finish gold, silver, platinum, and other jewelry items to a high standard.
- Remove scratches, marks, and surface imperfections from jewelry pieces.
- Use polishing motors, buffs, compounds, and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Inspect jewelry before and after polishing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Work closely with jewelers, setters, and production staff to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain polishing equipment and keep workstations clean and organized.
- Handle delicate and high-value jewelry with care and professionalism.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and quality control requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Jewellery Polisher is required.
- Knowledge of jewelry finishing techniques and polishing compounds.
- Experience working with gold, silver, platinum, and other precious metals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in jewelry manufacturing or repair environments.
- Familiarity with buffing machines, polishing motors, ultrasonic cleaners, and finishing tools.
- Ability to identify and correct finishing defects.
