Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Stable Hand to join our equine facility. This role involves caring for horses, maintaining the stables, and assisting with farm operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and possess the physical strength and mechanical knowledge necessary to perform various tasks in a farm environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and safety are paramount.
Duties
- Feed, water, and groom horses daily, ensuring their health and well-being
- Clean stalls, paddocks, and surrounding areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Assist with the handling and movement of horses using appropriate equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on farm machinery and equipment as needed
- Assist with barn repairs and minor mechanical tasks using basic mechanical knowledge
- Monitor horses for signs of illness or injury and report concerns to management
- Help with the setup and breakdown of equipment for training or events
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during all activities, including heavy lifting and handling large animals
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for maintaining farm machinery and equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including moving feed bags, hay bales, or equipment
- Experience or familiarity with farm machinery operation is preferred
- Strong physical stamina to handle long hours on your feet in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail in caring for animals and maintaining cleanliness of the facility
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
