Job Summary
SAMBAL is a modern Indonesian bistro on The Danforth in Toronto. We’re looking for a Bartender who knows their way around a cocktail shaker, loves experimenting with flavors, and is excited to help craft a small but creative drink menu inspired by Indonesian ingredients.
Responsibilities
- Craft and serve cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages to spec
- Help develop and refine the house cocktail menu with seasonal and Indonesian-inspired ingredients
- Maintain bar setup, cleanliness, and stock levels throughout the shift
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service
- Handle POS transactions accurately and responsibly
- Assist with front-of-house duties such as seating, running food, or taking orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and energetic environment
Qualifications
- 1 year of bartending experience in a restaurant or bar
- Smart Serve Certification (required)
- Confident in classic cocktails, bar tools, and drink pacing
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Willingness to learn about Indonesian flavors and culture
