About the Role
We are looking for a driven and personable Partnership Development Executive to grow our referral partner network across Canada. This is a relationship focused business development role where your primary objective is identifying, signing, and nurturing partnerships with professionals who work closely with small and medium sized business owners.
You will be the face of Nexus Finance to our external partner community. Your partners will trust you, rely on you for updates, and send you business because of the relationship you build with them. This is not a cold calling grind role. It is a long game relationship building role where consistency and professionalism compound into significant deal flow over time.
Who You Will Be Partnering With
- Chartered Professional Accountants and bookkeeping firms
- Mortgage brokers and mortgage agents
- Insurance brokers and financial advisors
- Business coaches and consultants
- Commercial real estate agents
- Other financial service professionals who serve small and medium business owners
What You Will Do
- Identify and research potential referral partners across Canada using LinkedIn, Google, industry directories, and outreach tools
- Conduct outbound prospecting via LinkedIn, email, and phone to introduce the Nexus Finance referral partner program
- Book and conduct introductory meetings with prospective partners to present our program and answer questions
- Sign new referral partners and execute partnership agreements
- Onboard new partners by walking them through the referral process, submission requirements, and commission structure
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all active referral partners
- Keep partners informed at every milestone when a referral is received, submitted, approved, and funded
- Follow up consistently with partners to maintain top of mind awareness and encourage ongoing referrals
- Track all partner activity in our CRM including outreach attempts, conversations, agreements signed, and deals submitted
- Report weekly to management on partner pipeline, new agreements signed, and funded deal volume from the network
- Attend industry networking events and conferences as required to build face to face relationships
What We Are Looking For
- Bilingual in English and French. This is a requirement for the Montreal market
- Previous experience in financial services, insurance, mortgage, real estate, accounting, or any B2B relationship based role is a strong asset
- Natural ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships over time
- Organized, disciplined, and able to manage a large pipeline of partner relationships without losing track of follow ups
- Professional presentation and strong written and verbal communication in both languages
- Self motivated and comfortable working with significant autonomy
- Comfortable with cold outreach including phone calls, LinkedIn messages, and emails
- MCA or business financing experience is an asset but not required. Full product training is provided
What You Will Earn
- Base salary of $50,000 per year
- Performance bonus tied to funded deal volume generated from your partner network
- Full product training provided from day one
