What Activities will you Accomplish in this Role?
- Work with the production team to produce SAE’s range of products using a variety of hand and power tools
- Follow directions and product specifications to assemble products accurately and efficiently
- Record, package, and perform quality control on finished products
- Perform periodic equipment inspections, trouble shooting, and cleaning of production equipment
- Load and unload product using material handling equipment such as pallets, trays, racks, forklifts, hand trucks and/or electric pallet jack, as instructed
- Responsible for general maintenance of the production area as needed
What are the Role Qualification Requirements?
- Minimum high school diploma and one (1) or more years’ experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Must be comfortable operating various hand tools and must be able to lift, up to 55 pounds
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be able to clear a criminal background check, and drivers abstract
- Forklift certification an asset but not a requirement
- Mechanical aptitude an asset
Location: 691 Bayview Drive, Barrie
Position: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Days, 8am-4:30pm, Monday thru Friday
Wage: The starting wage is $19.50 per hour, with progressive increments based on job performance and meeting established quotas, increasing to $20.00 per hour after three completed months and further increasing to $20.50 per hour after one completed year, contingent upon satisfactory performance and achievement of assigned targets.
Additional Requirements
- Fit testing may be required, some positions require wearing a respirator (provided by the company).
- Preference for candidates with a reliable vehicle, as you may occasionally need to work at a second location.
