Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, upgrading and repairing of electrical systems across various projects in industrial, commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of electrical codes and schematics, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively to ensure safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to plan installations and repairs.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, and control panels.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work accurately and safely.
- Conduct renovations and upgrades of existing electrical infrastructure in residential, commercial or light industrial settings.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals; perform repairs efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist in the installation of new wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Collaborate with construction teams or other trades during renovation or new build projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment and document completed tasks for project records.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman/Woman electrician license or certification.
- Class 5 license
- Prior service work experience is an asset.
- Ability to be diverse with in and out of town availability, as projects require.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical manuals related to electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring and basic control systems.
- Experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work and working around equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
This position is integral to ensuring the safe operation of electrical systems across our projects while providing opportunities for professional growth.
Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour
