Join the True North Hospitality team as a Bartender at Canada Life Centre, where you'll help create exceptional experiences for guests attending some of Winnipeg's most exciting live events.
As part of our Food & Beverage team, you'll deliver outstanding service while preparing and serving beverages safely, efficiently, and professionally.
What to be excited for in this role:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes, portion standards, and responsible service practices.

Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all LGCA regulations, Smart Choices requirements, and venue policies.

Process beverage orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system and electronic payments.

Verify inventory levels before and after each shift, restock supplies, and report shortages to supervisors.

Assist with the setup, operation, breakdown, and cleaning of bar areas and equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations during high-volume events.

Support inventory control, equipment maintenance, and operational procedures to ensure efficient service.
What we need from you:

Previous bartending experience (2+ years preferred), ideally in hospitality, sports, entertainment, or high-volume venues.

Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, classic cocktails, and premium beverage preparation.

Experience using POS systems and digital payment technology.

Outstanding customer service and communication skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to resolve guest concerns professionally.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while remaining calm under pressure.

A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a reliable work ethic.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical demands of the role.

Current Smart Choices Certification, or willingness to obtain certification before your first shift.
