South Country Village is a Christian based Seniors Care Facility that offers a range of living options that covers the span of the care continuum.
This position will be responsible for the service and delivery of resident meals by following a predetermined menu, portering of hot foods, food preparation, general clean up, transporting of dirty dishes, dish washing & general operations of the staff cafeteria.
A Food Safe Course that is acceptable to South Country Village is required. Commercial kitchen experience is ideal. Candidates must be able to verbally communicate in English so others can easily interpret and understand instructions fully. Organizational skills, memorization, attention to detail and the ability to communicate well with our senior population is a must.
A criminal records check with a vulnerable sector such is required.
FTE is 0.86 or 195 hrs per 6 week schedule rotation or an average of 32.50hrs/week.
Shift rotation consists of 8hr shifts. 8:15am - 4:15pm & 8:30am - 4:30pm &
10:00am - 6:00pm.
The successful candidate must be able to work a total of 26 shifts including 3.5 weekends within the 6 week schedule rotation.
Weekend hourly rate includes base wage plus a shift differential of an additional $3.50/hour.
