Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Multimedia Journalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, developing, and producing compelling news stories across various media platforms. This role requires excellent communication and writing skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to adapt content for diverse audiences. The Multimedia Journalist will play a vital role in delivering timely, accurate, and engaging news coverage that informs and resonates with our audience.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop news stories by gathering information from multiple sources
- Write clear, accurate, and engaging articles, scripts, and multimedia content
- Edit and proofread content to ensure grammatical accuracy and adherence to style guidelines
- Produce multimedia content including videos and photos.
- Conduct interviews and field reporting to gather firsthand information
- Collaborate with editors and other team members to deliver comprehensive coverage
- Stay updated on current events and industry trends to provide relevant content
- Research background information to ensure accuracy and depth in reporting
Experience
- Proven experience in journalism or related media fields is preferred
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives across different formats
- Excellent communication skills for interviewing and collaboration purposes
- Proofreading and copy editing expertise to maintain high-quality content standards
- Research skills to verify facts and gather comprehensive information
A driver's licence, vehicle and digital camera are required. A vehicle allowance is provided along with extended health benefits.
