Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This role is essential in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their development through engaging activities and support. This position involves assisting lead teachers in the classroom, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students, and promoting an inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Provide care and supervision for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Support children’s learning through play-based activities that encourage exploration and creativity.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a collaborative community.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space.
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to support their development.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior by using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or working with young children is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- A genuine enthusiasm for educating young children and supporting their growth in a classroom setting.
