Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food preparation and customer service, and experience managing restaurant teams. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to our guests. The Restaurant Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality service, managing restaurant operations, and fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, serving, and kitchen activities
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Manage and motivate team members, including interviewing, training, and scheduling staff
- Monitor customer service quality to ensure guest satisfaction
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Assist with food preparation and cooking as needed to support kitchen staff
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high service standards
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the restaurant setting
- Lead by example in hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in food service or restaurant management
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety and handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Background in food preparation, cooking, serving, or kitchen operations is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Leadership abilities with experience in team management and training
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Knowledge of restaurant management software and tools is advantageous
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
