Job Title: Food Production Worker
Work Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:15am to 2:45pm (cutting department)
Location: 11520 Eburne Way, Richmond, V6V 2G7 (access to reliable transportation is required, as we are located on Mitchell Island with limited access to public transit); fully on-site

Role Overview:
The Production Worker is responsible for the production of our premium seafood products (smoked salmon and other fish), while ensuring products are processed and handled according to food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Worker - Cutting:
- Fit fish fillet into various food processing machines
- Trim the fish collar with a knife
- Remove fish bones
- Buttering (i.e. use the butter knife to smooth the surface of the fillet)
- Rotate stock (this involves infrequent manual weight handling/lifting of up to 40 lbs with team lift assistance, and occasionally accessing the cooler)
- Follow company policies relating to GMP, food safety, and occupational health and safety
- Work effectively with other departments and management to achieve operational success
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Competencies:
- Detail-oriented team player with positive mindset
- Ability to make sound judgement and act with integrity
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Physically fit to perform manual weight handling/lifting of up to 40 lbs with team lift assistance
- Ability to work in a cold (~15 degrees C) and wet environment
- Ability to safely use a knife (i.e. hand dexterity)
- Basic English communication skills

- Experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to speak a second language
