Title: Ground Person
Pay: $21.00 CAD/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Overtime: Occasional overtime opportunities
We’re hiring a Ground Person to support daily scrap yard operations in a full-time, weekday role. This Ground Person role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable working in an outdoor environment, has experience with customer relations, wants a steady schedule, and is interested in building experience in a fast-paced industrial environment. You’ll play an important role in helping keep the yard safe, organized, and running efficiently.

Operational Performance & Best Business Practices of the Ground Person role
- Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
- Work with equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
- Load, unload, or identify materials, machinery, or tools, and distribute to the appropriate locations, according to specifications.
Required Experience of the Ground Person role
- High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role preferred.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
