About the Role
We are seeking a Master's Level Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (MSW) to join our team as a part-time hourly employee providing virtual individual counselling.
No previous court-related counselling experience is required. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing supervision, and proven treatment programs designed specifically for clients involved with the criminal justice system.
This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who enjoys structured clinical work, values professional development, and wants to become highly skilled in a specialized area of practice.
While this position is primarily virtual, we value building a connected team. Candidates should live within a reasonable driving distance of Markham to participate in occasional training sessions, marketing projects, and social events. Must be in the EST zone.
Responsibilities
As a Court Therapist, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments
- Provide evidence-based individual counselling using our court-recognized treatment programs.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with professional College standards.
- Prepare professional, objective, and well-written final court reports using our structured templates and clinical guidelines.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with our clinical team to ensure high-quality client care and consistent treatment outcomes.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- A Master's degree in Social Work or Psychotherapy.
- Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- Qualifying Registered Psychotherapists are welcome to apply.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct psychotherapy or counselling services is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using evidence-based therapeutic approaches is preferred.
