Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team with the potential to become a supervisor (details will be discussed during the interview). This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a clean and efficient food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Sanitate work areas and equipment regularly to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing guest inquiries.
- Utilize POS systems for order processing and payment transactions efficiently.
- Practice effective time management to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests, ensuring high standards are met.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
