Program: This position is , to qualify you must be: Between 16 and 30 years of age. Legally entitled to work in Canada (must have a valid Social Insurance Number) and are able to work 35-40 hours per week for roughly 6-8 weeks with the potential to become a permanent position.
Summary: The primary responsibility for the General Construction Labourer is to support the Construction team as requested to keep the project moving forward.
Health & Minimum requirements:
· Healthy & physically fit
· Able to perform manual labour for several hours at a time
· Have a valid BC Drivers License & vehicle to go to and from jobsites all over the lower mainland
· Clear communication in the English language and able to follow instructions
General Responsibilities:
1. Follow site safety rules
2. Tasks site-specific under supervisor
3. Will be given an opportunity to learn basic construction site duties from site safety, de-construction, preparation for foundations, preparation for framing, preparation for finishing, and site clean up
4. Learning construction related software
5. Jobsite cleanup
6. Learning how to read construction related plans
7. Delivery of materials to job sites
Compensation: $20+/ hr
· Renumeration depending on skills & experience
· Benefits package available for full time position after 3 months
· Tool signing bonus
