Every product we build depends on having the right materials available exactly when they're needed. The Material Handler plays a key role in making that happen by ensuring inventory moves efficiently throughout our operation and is available to support production, shipping, and customer commitments.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Business Services Manager, you will manage the flow of materials throughout our facility, ensuring inventory is accurately identified, stored, allocated, and available to support production, shipping, and customer commitments. Working closely with Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control, Purchasing, and Production, you'll help keep materials moving efficiently while providing backup support across warehouse operations as needed.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Receive, identify, label, bag, tag, and store materials in accordance with documented procedures and corporate quality system expectations.
- Allocate inventory to work orders and sales orders to support production schedules and customer deliveries.
- Ensure materials are stored in the correct warehouse locations and remain organized and easily accessible.
- Stage and distribute material to production as required.
- Work collaboratively with Inventory Control to support inventory accuracy and material availability.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory investigations, and warehouse organization as required.
- Maintain accurate records within the ERP system and complete required documentation.
- Support Shipping & Receiving activities during peak periods, absences, or vacation coverage, including receiving goods, preparing shipments, loading and unloading freight, and completing shipping documentation.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow documented ISO procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements with precision.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members across multiple departments.

QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for a dependable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. The following experience would be considered an asset
- 2–5 years of warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience working within an ISO or quality-driven manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management software.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HOURS
- The shipping and receiving work is performed primarily indoors in a warm, clean and well-lit shop in Edmonton
- The working hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
