AJC is a General Contractor specializing in primarily custom residential homes but also taking on commercial, agricultural, and institutional projects.
We are looking for a qualified individual with a passion for building and would assist the estimating and project management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Interacting one on one with clients to discuss their project and determine a scope of work
- Reading architectural drawings and preparing detailed quantity take-offs.
- Sending out drawings and scope of work to subtrades for pricing
- Estimating material and labour take-offs
- Assembly quotes from subtrades and put together Proposals that will be submitted to the clients
- Keep in contact with project coordinators for the duration of the project to ensure the final job costs stay within budget
- Visit job sites to monitor progress
Qualifications
- Experience to Estimating and/or Project Management. The more hands on experience the better! There is no better way to learn then by doing the work first hand
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel
- Proficiency in Revit would be helpful but not a requirement
- Self motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Responsive to email and phone communications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Respect for confidentiality in all details, discussions and information
