About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and dependable Table Tennis Coach to lead a lunch and/or after-school table tennis sessions for students. The ideal candidate is passionate about the sport and enjoys helping children build skills, confidence, coordination, and a love for active play in a fun and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging table tennis lessons for students of various skill levels.
- Teach proper techniques including grip, strokes, footwork, serves, and game strategies.
- Plan age-appropriate drills, activities, and skill-building exercises.
- Promote teamwork, respect, confidence, and good sportsmanship.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Set up and organize equipment
- Provide encouragement and feedback to help students improve.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and playing experience in table tennis.
- Coaching or teaching experience with children/youth is preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate and explain skills clearly.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and comfortable working with groups of students.
- Reliable and professional.
- First Aid/CPR certification and vulnerable sector screening are assets.
Program Structure & Schedule
- Afterschool Program:
- Runs September-June
- Must be available from 11:20-12:00 or 3:30 - 6:00pm on weekdays (1-3 times per week)

Pay: $30.00-$65.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Table Tennis teaching: 1 year (preferred)
