Fish Creek Pet Hospital is hiring a full-time Client Care Receptionist. You must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends. We need someone who has a flexible schedule and who can handle a very fast-paced environment which requires you to multi-task and prioritize. Please submit a cover letter and resume. Fish Creek is an urgent care hospital committed to providing high-quality veterinary services in a way that stresses humanity, compassion and quality of life for pets and their owners. Our veterinary services are available both for our clients as well as pet owners referred by other veterinarians for emergency or extended stay services.
The Client Care Receptionist is responsible for, but not limited to:
- greeting and welcoming clients and patients
- answering multiple telephone calls and returning emails
- scheduling appointments and surgeries
- processing referrals from other veterinary clinics
- ability to learn and recognize an emergency situation, and respond in a professional but urgent manner
- processing payments, insurance, and third party lenders
- maintaining excellent communication between the veterinarians, clients, support staff and management
- assisting clients during high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion
- assisting techs and doctors with prioritizing patient needs
- cleaning and sanitizing
This position requires:
- days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- flexible schedule (receptionist hours are 6am-2am, 7 days/week)
- excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- advanced multi-tasking and prioritization
- some heavy lifting (must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs)
- some animal handling
- organization, and ability to work well under pressure
- a positive attitude
- teamwork
- computer knowledge (excellent grammar and spelling)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
