Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional for the position of BC- California Run Single / Teams. This role involves operating various types of heavy equipment, managing freight, and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across California. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, forklift operation, and possibly automotive repair, with a strong focus on safety and reliability. Duties
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move freight efficiently and safely.
- Drive commercial vehicles across California routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Manage freight handling, ensuring proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo to prevent damage.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to support fleet maintenance.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely deliveries and pickups across multiple locations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to freight movement, vehicle logs, and safety checks.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or similar machinery preferred.
- Commercial driving experience within California or similar regions is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations is a plus.
- Automotive repair skills or experience with heavy equipment maintenance is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate machinery safely while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. This role is vital for maintaining efficient logistics operations within California, requiring dependable individuals committed to safety and excellence in freight management.
Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
