About T.A.A. Construction Inc. T.A.A. Construction is a trusted civil contractor delivering municipal roadwork, riverbank stabilization, culvert replacements, and infrastructure improvements throughout Chatham‑Kent and surrounding regions. We are expanding and seeking a seasoned Senior Foreman to lead complex field operations and support our growing project portfolio.
Position Summary The Senior Foreman will oversee multiple crews, coordinate daily operations, and ensure high‑quality, safe execution of road construction and river stabilization projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage fast‑moving municipal work with professionalism and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews across road construction, riverbank stabilization, erosion control, and civil infrastructure projects
- Coordinate daily site activities, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and logistics
- Work closely with Project Managers, municipal inspectors, and engineering consultants
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, environmental controls, and municipal standards
- Oversee heavy equipment operations (excavators, skid steers, loaders) and ensure proper use
- Identify issues proactively and implement solutions related to grades, watercourse protection, and site challenges
- Maintain accurate daily logs, safety documentation, and progress reporting
- Mentor junior foremen and crew members to support skill development and productivity
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a Foreman in civil or road construction; Senior/Lead Foreman experience preferred
- Strong background in river stabilization, erosion control, or watercourse projects
- Proven ability to lead multiple crews and manage complex site operations
- Solid understanding of municipal standards, safety protocols, and environmental requirements
- Heavy equipment experience (excavators 8–30 tonne, skid steers, loaders)
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to project sites across Chatham‑Kent and nearby regions
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
