Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with doctor’s prescriptions and legal regulations
- Provide expert consultation to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper medication storage and documentation
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and review patient medication plans
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions
- Educate patients on medication adherence, proper administration techniques, and health management strategies
- Monitor for adverse drug reactions and report any concerns to appropriate healthcare providers
- Stay current with new pharmaceutical developments, regulations, and best practices in patient care
Experience
- Prior hospital experience is preferred, especially within acute care or pediatrics settings
- Proven expertise in patient care and medication administration
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical protocols
- Experience working with diverse patient populations to ensure safe medication use
- Certification as a licensed Pharmacist is required, with active licensure in the relevant state or region
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients on medication use
Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour
