Job Overview
We are seeking someone who is detail-oriented to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records. Experience with Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting) is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain the general ledger
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare government remittances, including HST/GST (if applicable)
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with budgeting and other accounting projects as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) is required
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Work Location: In person
Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
