About the Position
We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Physiotherapist to provide mobile in-home physiotherapy services throughout Cornwall and nearby communities.
This role is ideal for a physiotherapist who enjoys working independently while delivering high quality patient-centred care in the comfort of patients' homes. The successful candidate will assess and treat a variety of orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, and mobility related conditions.
Compensation Range
Based on qualifications, experience, and visit type which will be discussed during interview process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physiotherapy assessments in patients' homes
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, mobility training, fall prevention, and pain management strategies
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercise programs
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately and promptly
- Maintain professional communication with physicians, caregivers, and healthcare providers
- Travel to patients' residences throughout Cornwall and surrounding areas
- Follow all privacy, safety, infection control, and professional standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
- Valid Ontario Physiotherapy license
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid Ontario driver's license
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel within the community
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with PHIPA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home care, community physiotherapy, or geriatrics
- Experience treating orthopaedic, neurological, and post-surgical patients
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingualism (English/French) considered a strong asset
