Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Hours of Work: Full time (40 hours) overtime may be required
Duties include but not limited to:
*Counting, entering and analyzing scrap
*Testing hardness of castings
*Cut sectioning of castings
*Support the Sample team
*Measure castings and other product using acceptable measuring equipment and techniques
*Actively participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) process
*Perform Non-Destructive Testing (MPI, UT, LPI, etc)
*Perform sample inspections to support the production team
*Perform gauge calibrations
Note: Work will be assigned based on organizational priorities. Although QA duties will take precedent and be considered the priority, the Quality Supervisor reserves the right to assign work, which may include work in other departments, as required.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have effective communication skills
· Must have excellent work ethics
· Team worker with good attitude and cooperation
· Must have a grade 12 education (Computer skills an asset)
A solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is a strong asset
Experience in measurement techniques using gauges such as calipers, granite tables, height gauges, micrometers, protractors, angle meters, etc is a strong asset
A good understanding of quality tools, such as Pareto’s, histograms, statistical process control, and data collection/analyzing skills
· Must be willing to learn new specialized skills (which may include travel and in-classroom environment)
· Must have flexibility in time scheduling (overtime, shift start / end times, etc)
· Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
