ROLE OVERVIEW
The Marketing Manager owns Midnight Marketing's internal brand - strategy, execution, and everything in between. You are the sole driver of all internal marketing initiatives, responsible for building campaigns that generate awareness, attract qualified leads, and position the agency competitively in the market.
There is no playbook handed to you. You write it. This role requires someone who can move from strategic planning to hands-on production without losing momentum - and who uses AI tools as a core part of how they work, not an occasional shortcut.
You are also the face of Midnight Marketing's brand presence. You're comfortable in front of a camera, natural at capturing content - whether at events, in the office, or behind the scenes with the team — and confident enough to be witty and engaging on behalf of the agency. Charisma is part of the job description.
You work cross-functionally with leadership, BD, Growth, Media, and Web & Brand, but the marketing function is yours to run. You have one account: Midnight Marketing. Treat it accordingly.
This role includes a three-month probationary period.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Marketing strategy & execution
- Own the ideation, planning, launch, and optimization of all internal marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels independently and with minimal direction.
- Build and maintain quarterly campaign calendars and content strategies aligned with brand positioning and BD goals.
- Manage the agency's advertising and media buying efforts, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance optimization.
- Develop and produce creative assets independently - writing copy, directing the in-house creative team when needed, and using AI tools to accelerate ideation and production.
- Measure and report on campaign performance monthly with clear optimization recommendations.
- Ensure all marketing output reflects Midnight Marketing's brand voice, showcases client work, and strengthens the agency's market positioning.
- Leverage AI tools - including large language models, image generation, and automation platforms - as a core, daily part of your workflow.
Content & brand presence
- Capture and produce content across formats - video, photo, written - at events, in team settings, and independently, with a natural on-camera presence and strong creative instincts.
- Manage and grow the agency's social media presence with content that is consistent, engaging, and reflective of Midnight's personality and expertise.
- Show up confidently as a brand representative - witty, polished, and able to adapt your tone to the audience and platform.
- Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external touchpoints.
BD enablement
- Create and maintain all sales collateral, including pitch decks, case studies, one-pagers, and proposal templates.
- Collaborate with the BD team to align marketing initiatives with prospecting goals and active pipeline needs.
- Coordinate and execute outbound marketing campaigns in support of BD outreach, including asset creation and performance tracking.
- Identify opportunities to build Midnight's authority and visibility in target markets through content and thought leadership.
Events & Merchandise
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of client-facing and industry events - trade shows, happy hours, and networking events - from concept through post-event follow-up.
- Attend events on behalf of Midnight Marketing and capture content on the ground, such as interviews, behind-the-scenes, highlight reels.
- Plan and execute internal brand initiatives such as client anniversary campaigns and seasonal gifting, including creative production and vendor coordination.
- Own the Midnight Marketing merch store end to end, keeping the catalogue consistently refreshed with new designs, retiring what stops performing, and managing production, inventory, and vendor relationships. Build merch drops around event campaigns and seasonal moments, and maintain ready stock for client and partner gifting.
