Job Overview:
Join Wilderman Medical Clinic as a Volunteer! We are a multi-disciplinary medical clinic, specializing in pain management. We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented Medical Clinic Assistant Volunteer to support our Chronic Pain Program.
Responsibilities
- Navigate the Accuro EMR system to verify relevant information in patient charts.
- Work directly with medical receptionists to coordinate, manage, and book appointments for the Chronic Pain Program.
- Interact with our new and existing patients over the phone by providing professional, clear, and helpful information about our new program
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
- Experience with patient care activities or assisting healthcare professionals is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strict adherence to patient privacy laws (such as HIPAA) and clinical data security protocols.
- Willingness to learn about the different services of our clinic.
- Knowledge of Russian will be an asset.
- Enrolled in at least the second year of College or University
