Service Security Systems Technician
TELSCO Security Systems - Edmonton, AB
Company Description:
TELSCO Security Systems is a well-established full-service electronic security company based in Edmonton, Alberta. We are currently looking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced, locally-based Technician with knowledge of alarm, CCTV and access control systems to help service our growing Alberta client base. This is a full-time position, 40+ hours per week, with some variation depending on the customer’s needs. Job Duties:
- Burglar alarm, CCTV, and Access Control Installation and service tasks including pre-wiring, installation, programming, commissioning, and trouble-shooting.
- Respond to customer technical inquiries, and provide basic customer training for proper system usage.
- Consistent commitment to following best practice safety procedures, documenting work, and communicating with staff.
- Work in a company committed to Safety
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years experience with installing and servicing CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.(will train people with the right attitude and aptitude) Strong technical orientation is required, including knowledge of computers and networking, as well as comfort working with electronic devices. Familiarity with ULC standards and alarm.com would be an asset.
- Knowledge of alarm systems such as DSC, Honeywell, Paradox, GE, and 2gig
- Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call service
- Ability to work under pressure, and adapt to unexpected circumstances
- Ability to travel primarily within Alberta (valid class 5 driver’s license required)
- 3 years of provable clean insurance/driving history in Canada & a criminal record check
