Reporting to the COO/CFO, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and strengthen how our organization operates as Manager, Corporate Services. You’ll lead a diverse portfolio, from facilities and events to health and safety, business continuity, and risk management, ensuring everything runs seamlessly and meets high standards.
In this role, you’ll guide a team and collaborate with external partners, oversee budgets and contracts, and help enhance the programs and services that support our day-to-day operations. With a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll play a key part in evolving how corporate services are delivered across the organization.
What you’ll do

Provide oversight of the maintenance, repair, and installation of building systems and infrastructure (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical), with execution led by the Building Operator and external service providers.

Oversee, in collaboration with the Building Operator, contracted and in-house services (e.g., maintenance, parking, security, safety inspections, snow removal, landscaping) to ensure service levels, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Lead planning and oversight of renovations and facilities improvement projects, including scoping, scheduling, interested party communication, and issue escalation.

Lead space planning and coordinates office moves and workspace changes; recommends and implements efficient use of space to support operational needs.

Provide oversight of the reception function, including direct line reporting, coordination of backup coverage as required, and ensure established procedures are consistently followed.

Provide leadership and oversight for shipping and receiving operations, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and oversight of vendors and service providers used.

Provide leadership and mentoring/coaching to the Corporate Services team, fostering a culture of high performance, teamwork and accountability.

Set fiscal goals, in collaboration with the COO & CFO, for members of the team; provides ongoing feedback and manages annual performance reviews.

Provide oversight of internal and external meetings and events.

Act as the Corporate Services lead for the Annual Meeting, providing overall coordination and oversight of logistics and service delivery.

Oversee event-related contracts, including initiating RFPs, participating in site visits, and reviewing and pre-approving contracts for execution.

Co-chair the Joint Health and Safety Committee and the Emergency Warden Committee.

Act as a member of the Emergency Response team (ERT).

Lead the organization’s Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity Plan, including implementation and ongoing maintenance.
What you need to succeed
Experience
-
8-10 years’ experience in corporate services, with demonstrated experience in facilities management, vendor oversight, and procurement
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in people leadership, including direct supervision of staff, performance management, coaching and development, and responsibility for workforce planning and resourcing
-
Experience operating in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
-
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, including responding to competing demands and time-sensitive issues
Technical Skills
-
Knowledge of facilities management principles, including building systems, preventive maintenance, and service contract oversight

Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and standards, including the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations

Knowledge of risk management and business continuity principles, including emergency preparedness and continuity of operations planning
-
Proficient with MS Office suite

Project management knowledge is an asset

Experience using space planning software is an asset

Skilled using financial accounting software is an asset
