We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labour/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will assist with machine operations, material handling, product assembly, quality inspections, and general shop duties while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
- Assist with machining operations and production processes.
- Read and follow work orders and production instructions.
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform basic machine setup and routine maintenance as required.
- Package, label, and prepare products for shipment.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other shop and warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is considered an asset.
- Experience operating production machinery is preferred.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required.
- Steel manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is an asset.
