Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our Liquor Department team. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping the department organized and visually appealing, is comfortable working with inventory systems, and enjoys providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work freight and stock product efficiently, safely, and accurately, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged product, or other concerns to the department manager.
- Use backend POS/inventory software to audit, investigate, and report inventory discrepancies to the manager for correction.
- Receive invoices through the backend POS system and follow appropriate procedures for ensuring invoices are accurately processed and forwarded to the bookkeeping department.
- Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing sales floor at all times.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail when stocking, merchandising, pricing, and organizing product.
- Assist with planning and executing retail sales displays and monthly floor-plan changes.
- Help ensure promotional and seasonal displays are set up accurately and on time.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service.
- Work collaboratively with the liquor team while also being comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable liquor regulations.
Prerequisites & Qualifications (Required):
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification/Ticket.
- Demonstrated experience operating a power jack (pallet jack).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy cases of product (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Must be 18 years of age or older (required by law for handling alcoholic beverages).
- Must be able to work in cooler temperatures while stocking the liquor cooler (PPE Provided)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays and graveyard shifts during the peak season (June to September)
