Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced French Teacher specializing in TEF (Test d’évaluation de français) preparation. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching and tutoring skills, with a passion for helping students achieve their language proficiency goals. This role involves designing engaging lessons tailored to TEF exam requirements, providing personalized instruction, and fostering an encouraging learning environment for students of various backgrounds. Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive TEF preparation courses tailored to individual student needs and proficiency levels
- Conduct engaging tutoring sessions that focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills relevant to the TEF exam
- Create and adapt instructional materials, practice tests, and exercises to enhance student learning outcomes
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, mock exams, and feedback sessions
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills and build confidence
- Maintain a positive, motivating classroom environment that encourages active participation and student engagement
- Keep detailed records of student performance and progress for reporting purposes
- Stay updated on the latest TEF exam formats and requirements to ensure course relevance and effectiveness
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching French, with a focus on TEF exam preparation preferred
- Strong tutoring and classroom teaching skills with the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles
- Excellent writing skills to develop clear instructional materials and assessments
- Prior classroom experience is highly desirable
- Passion for language education and helping students succeed in their language proficiency goals
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that motivate students and foster active learning
- Strong communication skills with an approachable demeanor
- Certification or formal training in French language instruction is a plus but not mandatory
