Leslieville School of Dance & Music is seeking a warm, organized, and dependable Reception & Customer Service Representative to join our team for the 2026-2027 dance season.
This is much more than a traditional reception role. As the first person our children, families, and visitors see as they walk through our doors, you will play an important role in creating the warm, welcoming, and professional experience our school is known for. You will be the friendly face that greets every child, parent, and visitor, helping ensure every interaction reflects the high standard of customer service that our families have come to expect.
Position Details
- Schedule:
- Tuesdays: 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
- Sundays: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Commitment: September 2026 through June 2027
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour
- Paid training provided
- Opportunity for additional hours: Occasional opportunities to pick up extra reception shifts may be available to cover vacations, illness, and special events.

Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting every family and visitor with a warm, professional welcome
- Answering phones and providing exceptional customer service
- Responding to emails with professionalism, excellent grammar, and attention to detail
- Assisting families with registrations, payments, and general inquiries
- Navigating our studio management software (paid training provided)
- Supporting the administrative team with a variety of reception and office tasks
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Completing a list of cleaning and studio closing duties during Tuesday evening shifts
- Providing occasional shift coverage for colleagues during planned vacations or unexpected illness, when available
Qualifications:
- Previous reception, office, or administrative experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable learning and navigating computer software and online systems.
- Ability to remain calm, positive, and efficient during busy periods.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the dance world is considered a strong asset. Applicants who danced as children or have previous experience working at a dance studio are encouraged to apply.
