We are seeking a dedicated Dairy Farm Supervisor to join our team at Greiden Farms Ltd. in St. Marys, Ontario, Canada. This role is vital in supporting our daily operations and maintaining the high standards of our farm. The Dairy Herdsperson will contribute to the care of our livestock and the upkeep of farm equipment.
Job Duties:
- Supervise, train, and provide direction to general farm workers, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
-Assist with scheduling daily work assignments and coordinating labour to meet operational requirements.
- Supervise, monitor, and enforce procedures that promote animal health, welfare, and biosecurity.
- Perform and oversee milking operations, ensuring cows are milked properly and established milking procedures are followed.
- Monitor milk production records, milk monitoring systems, and identify any production or animal health concerns.
- Tend to dairy cows and calves by feeding, observing behaviour, and ensuring their overall health and well-being.
- Assist with hoof trimming and monitor hoof health, identifying animals requiring treatment or veterinary attention.
- Assist with calving, monitor cows during and after calving, and ensure newborn calves receive appropriate care to promote healthy development.
- Ensure all farm safety policies, procedures, and biosecurity protocols are followed by employees.
- Oversee the cleaning, bedding, and maintenance of barns, pens, alleys, and livestock housing to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Operate farm machinery and equipment safely and assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate production, health, and treatment records as required.
- Perform general farm duties and assist with other operational tasks as needed to support the overall success of the dairy operation.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to work full-time hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working in barn conditions
- Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of hands-on dairy farm experience. (Please provide any relevant reference letters with your application)

Wage & Vacancies:
$27.00 per hour working full time with an average 50-60 hours per week.
