Stay at Home Elevating Services is a growing accessibility and elevating company specializing in commercial disability lifts, home elevators, stairlifts, and accessibility solutions throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
We work with a wide variety of clients including seniors, people with disabilities, homeowners, contractors, builders, care facilities, and commercial properties. Our team handles every aspect of accessibility equipment, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modernization, and inspections.
We are currently looking for an Elevator & Accessibility Technician to join our growing team.

Our work covers areas from Greater Victoria all the way to Port Hardy and beyond, so travel is a regular part of the job. Some overnight stays may be required.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with elevators, home elevators, stairlifts, platform lifts, or related accessibility equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Any related experience is considered an asset.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot elevating devices and accessibility equipment
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on:
- Home elevators
- Vertical platform lifts
- Inclined platform lifts
- Stairlifts
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Assist with installations and modernization projects
- Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- Experience in elevator maintenance or a related mechanical/electrical field preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems and low-voltage wiring
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with industrial electrical practices is an asset
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work safely and professionally in residential and commercial environments

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
