Job Summary
Little Bear Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, a division of Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Child & Youth Advocate to support children, youth, and families accessing services.
This role provides trauma-informed advocacy and support throughout the investigative and judicial process, walking alongside children, youth, and families as they navigate services and, where applicable, the court process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed emotional support to children, youth, and families
- Walk alongside clients as they navigate services, including the justice process where applicable
- Support children, youth, and caregivers throughout their experience with the Advocacy Centre
- Assist with court preparation and accompaniment when required
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including RCMP, Children’s Services, and Crown
- Maintain and build collaborative relationships within the community and with partner organizations
- Provide referrals and connections to ongoing supports
- Travel to surrounding communities to deliver services
- Participate in community events, including occasional evening commitments
- Contribute to program development and service delivery
- Facilitate psychoeducational programming
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Human Services or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- A combination of education, experience, and suitability will be considered

Schedule
- 35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday schedule
