Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, and pans.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, storage rooms, and equipment.
- Sweep and mop floors regularly.
- Remove garbage and recycling and keep waste areas organized.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation as required.
- Receive and properly store deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is an asset but not required.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
