About Us
The Dietitian Studio is a growing private nutrition practice dedicated to providing evidence-based nutrition counselling and community education. We work with diverse populations, with a strong focus on South Asian communities, delivering engaging presentations on topics such as diabetes, heart health, healthy eating, weight management, pregnancy nutrition, seniors' nutrition, and chronic disease prevention.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our team on a casual basis to deliver community presentations and educational workshops in Brampton and Mississauga.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging nutrition presentations to community groups, seniors, workplaces, schools, cultural organizations, and other community settings.
- Provide evidence-based nutrition education in an interactive and easy-to-understand manner.
- Adapt presentations to suit diverse audiences and cultural backgrounds.
- Answer participant questions within the Registered Dietitian scope of practice.
- Represent The Dietitian Studio professionally at all community events.
- Travel to presentation locations within Brampton and Mississauga as required.
- Collaborate with the practice owner to prepare and customize educational materials when needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
- Professional liability insurance (or ability to obtain before starting).
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Brampton and Mississauga.
- Availability for occasional daytime, evening, and/or weekend presentations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred
- Experience delivering community nutrition presentations or workshops.
- Experience in diabetes, cardiovascular health, weight management, seniors' nutrition, maternal health, or chronic disease management.
- Knowledge of South Asian foods, culture, and dietary practices.
- Ability to speak Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, or another South Asian language is considered a strong asset.
- Experience creating nutrition education resources and handouts.
- Comfortable presenting both in-person and virtually.
